While growing up there was a woman in town with a very big nose and a mole on it.  She was always very strict with us kids as she and her husband ran the local candy store. We called her the witch because of her appearance. she looked like the witch in the movie Wizard of Oz. When I got married she came to my wedding dressed to the teeth. It turned out she and my father in law had been lovers in their youth!! When he came to town I saw quite a different picture of our so called witch. Every time I talked about the witch my father would confuse what I was saying with the woman he called a witch. He grew up in the same town. It turned out his witch had been a real witch in behavior as she had our favorite teacher removed from the school.  Even to this day50 years later many people in the community are upset. My father told stories of how he handled his witch as a little boy. He peed on her. He used to climb a tree and wait for her to walk by.  When she did he urinated on her. Unfortunately she didn’t just melt like the witches did in the movies when you threw a bucket of water on them. She stayed around and caused problems in the community until she finally passed away. Not all witches are bad witches. It is necessary to ask which witch.FM3Learn chinese in shanghai,Learn mandarin, Mandaringarden
